“Rocks, Paper, Scissors: Choices” e’ il nuovo album di Sir Michael Rocks

Sir Michael Rocks, metà del duo The Cool Kids, torna col suo ultimo progetto, “Rocks, Paper, Scissors: Choices”, disponibile su tutte le piattaforme digitali per Fake Shore Drive. Testimonianza del suo stile intramontabile, della sua innata coolness e della sua evoluzione artistica, il disco amplifica il percorso di Mikey Rocks: dal suo stile all’avanguardia, dai testi arguti fino a essere stato un pioniere di una nuova ondata di estetica Rap minimalista, Mikey continua a plasmare la cultura secondo i suoi termini. Al suo fianco una ricca schiera di collaboratori, tra i quali Bruiser Wolf, Valee, Tha Musalini, Dj Fresh e Skooda Chose. Rock, paper, scissors – racconta – is one of the world’s oldest games. It’s balanced, fair and hard to cheat. I feel like in some instances, most people have played it for fun, to gamble for high stakes, or to make a big decision. This album captures that spirit of big decisions and high stakes. I carefully selected each feature for their specific contribution to the story. The line-up of producers was also a deliberate choice to develop a specific sound that is cohesive throughout the album. I wanted to make a project that highlighted the pros and cons of taking risks, while providing a vivid backdrop of Chicago living. The good and bad and everything in between.
