Beat funkettoni, rime a valanga, scratch assassini: compilation con le palle! The High & Mighty radunano per la seconda volta i loro compari e tirano fuori un progettino da avere assolutamente. La ricetta di “Eastern Conference All Stars II” è semplice, potendo contare su strumentali che spaccano e flow che non stancano mai. Autentiche perle come “Tonight’s The Night” dei due padroni di casa, “The Bread Winner” con un Chali 2na (Jurassic 5) in grandissima forma su un superbeat ciccettone di Mighty Mi, la posse cut “Eastern Conference All Star” (Tame 1, Copywrite, J-Zone, Cage, Mr. Eon, Skillz e Camu Tao, che produce anche il beat!), “Look Into My Eyes” del professorone Defari e “Homecoming Queen” con Mr. Eon e addirittura R.A. The Rugged Man sono perfette per qualsiasi selezione ai piatti, rendendo più che felice sottoscritto e colleghi.

Discorso a parte per due tracce che, se possibile, svettano tra le venti proposte: mi riferisco a “The Red Light” degli Smut Peddlers, ovvero Cage e Mr. Eon qui con Alchemist alle macchine, e l’ottima “Emergency” con Evidence al microfono e un macigno prodotto da Dj Mighty Mi (che nella compila non si risparmia) e Camu Tao; troppo avanti, delizia assoluta in entrambi i casi. Presenti ancora, con risultati non meno validi, due figure provenienti dal passato come Kool Keith e Big Daddy Kane: siano i benvenuti pure loro! Nessun commento finale, solo il consiglio di mettere mano al portafogli e catapultarvi al più presto nel vostro negozietto di fiducia per portarvi a casa una copia di “Eastern Conference All Stars II”. Nel caso mancasse, che ne so, torturate il rivenditore, rapitelo, violentatelo; insomma, fate in modo che vi procuri quanto prima questa bella chicca.
